Mailand, Paris, endlich wieder.
The supersalone, a special event curated by architect Stefano Boeri as part of Salone del Mobile Milano, opened its doors from September 5th to 10th, 2021, as the first major design exhibition since the pandemic. It provided a platform for creative experimentation, showcased what an international furniture fair should look like in the future, and reinforced the central position of Milan and the Salone in the international design, culture, and innovation scene.
The widely recognized division of a meal into appetizer, main course, and dessert dates back to ancient times. In the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, Haute Cuisine developed in France and influenced the entire continent. It was in France where the service à la française, a style of presenting dishes, emerged as an elaborate orchestration of culinary delights, later replaced by the service à la russe. Both styles continue to shape modern dining etiquette and are currently regaining popularity.
He calls himself a natural clay ceramist: "My products are born from earth and fire to delight people." With great passion, he prepares the clay, shapes it, and experiments with different ovens. His works are a constant metamorphosis toward the perfection of the interplay between material, form, and language.
A beautifully set table is about much more than just presenting dishes and utensils - it is a symbol of the beauty and value of everyday life, the power of dining as a means of communication, and the importance of the rituals and traditions we have around food.
